Z-basic tag for purification of secreted proteins

Dear all,

I would like to test a C-terminal Z-basic tag (according to Hedhammar and Hober, 2007) for the purification of proteins secreted from insect cells, and am wondering if somebody already tried if a fusion protein with the positively charged Z-basic domain got secreted well and could be captured by cation exchange chromatography from the culture medium?

With best regards,

Ralf
