expression with iron

Hi again!
I have a question regarding addition of iron during protein expression.  We want to express a protein in E. coli where not much is known about it, but it is full of cysteines and there is some vague possible connection to heme biosynthesis.  Therefore I thought about adding some metal ions, such as iron, during expression.  Can anyone tell me what form of iron would be the best for this?  Or does anyone have experience with this?

best,

Peggy
