User Guide

Access to the platform allows users to perform small-scale tests to evaluate expression strategies and construct(s), and to produce samples at a larger scale for biochemical and structural investigations.

We offer different modes of access:

In general, the platform provides the expression vectors to the external users who perform cloning at their home institutions and come to IGBMC to perform expression assays and protein production. When this is not possible, cloning can be provided as a service
Given the highly experimental nature of the technology, variation to the access scheme can be discussed on a case-by case basis. In the case of projects that involve eukaryotic expression, based on baculovirus or mammalian expression, preliminary experiments are often performed by the platform and the user only comes to IGBMC for the scale up and training

Support includes training and supervision, as well as help with data analysis which is especially crucial for complex reconstitution. Users should not hesitate to contact us before submitting an application.
